As a therapist in private practice, I understand that life can be unpredictable, and things may come up that may prevent you from attending your scheduled therapy session. To ensure that my practice runs smoothly and fairly for both myself and my clients, I have updated the following cancellation, rescheduling and attendance policy.

Cancellations

All appointments are non refundable and paid in full at the time of booking via Bodyspeak Somatics online booking system - https://bodyspeaksomatics.com/onetoone.

Please note, Bodyspeak Somatics is unable to offer refunds or reschedule appointments for no shows due to traffic / road closures / car issues / laptop issues.

Exceptions: I understand that emergencies can arise. If there is a genuine reason for requesting to cancel an appointment in the case of a family or medical emergency, please reach out to me as soon as possible and we can discuss the situation.

If physical injury results in not being able to attend an appointment in person, accommodation will be made to switch to an online session.

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule an appointment, you are welcome to do so up to 48 hours in advance to allow me to offer the space to someone else. Please visit the booking link here - https://bodyspeaksomatics.com/onetoone. Reschedule requests that are less than 48 hours of your appointment are unable to be accommodated and will result in the appointment being forfeited. Please consider your dates carefully when booking appointments. Bodyspeak Somatics is happy for you to reschedule up to three times.

Attendance & No Shows

Appointments cannot be refunded or rescheduled due to lateness. Any late arrival will result in a reduction of time from your booked appointment. If lateness of more than 15 minutes occurs, there will be insufficient time for the appointment to go ahead, and the session will be forfeited. If you fail to attend an appointment (“no show”), it cannot be refunded or rescheduled, and the session will be forfeited. If you are journeying by car, please leave extra time to arrive at the studio in time for your appointment, especially if it is your first time.

Illness

In the event of sudden illness or hospitalisation, allowances can be made to reschedule the appointment if notification is received on the day of the appointment, by email: evelyn@bodyspeaksomatics.com or telephone: 07850 216 207. If this happens a second time outside the 48 hour notice period, the appointment will be forfeited.
