I offer One-to-One Co-creative sessions from my home studio in Fishponds, Bristol. Each session is unique and may focus on a specific issue or offer a more open ended inquiry of what is calling for attention in ourselves. Sometimes this is specific; discomfort in the body, feelings of stress or overwhelm, or a desire to find more ease of movement. Yet sometimes it is less obvious; an experience of conflict or unease, or a sense of disconnection from the body.
What does a session look like?
Each session begins with a brief check in and space to name any challenges or life issues and the impact that these may have on you - emotionally, physically or mentally. Here we set a gentle intension for the rest of the session and begin to to uncover personal meaning through noticing and responding to inner sensation, emotion, image, thought and movement. This process is exploratory in nature and involves the following stages:
Entry point - taking time to arrive, slowing down, noticing breath, emotion, thought, posture.
Grounding - deepening whole body awareness, sensing supportive structures of ground, bone, skin, gravity, space, rhythm.
Revealing - widening the details of where our attention rests; what we are sensing in movement, embodied touch and imagination.
Mark Making - writing, drawing, creative play with materials and objects to invite the emergence of fresh insights, allowing room for growth and change.
Integration - transition, rest and time for self reflection.
